There are three major reasons for most of the proposed modifications:
1. Handicap/Wheelchair Accessibility
2. Improve Flexibility in Chancel Area
3. Theological

Chancel
1. Detach altar from backwall and make movable; refinish backwall where altar was attached
2. Modify altar platform to accommodate altar being located three feet from backwall
3. New communion rail at altar to match gothic detailing; removable
4. Detach pulpit from floor and make movable
5. Remove kneewall and lectern, make lectern movable for possible use in other spaces
6. Increase the width of the steps to chancel to 16" for easier movement and better standing for the choir
7. Two new stair handrails up chancel steps to match gothic detailing; removable
8. Build organ alcove behind organ counsel (into the sacristy) and make organ console movable to be able to be pushed back when needed (wiring to be replaced to remove asbestos insulation)

Pews
1. Refinish/Replace pews; add cushioned seats; relocate hymnracks to underside to increase legroom
2. Replace front row of pews with movable pew chairs
3. Make two locations for wheelchairs by shortening pews and adding pew chairs

Breakout Area
1. Build raised platform (one step) in East transcept to hide all wiring and improve sight lines

Lighting/Wiring
1. Add recessed lighting fixtures in ceiling to increase light levels
2. Clean and rewire all chandeliers
3. Add track lights for lighting chancel
4. Add new dimmer switches to all lights (remove old dimming machine)
5. Rewire all electrical wiring to code/centralize all switches
6. Improve lighting in narthex

Audio/Visual
1. Replace speakers with smaller, current models
2. Potential relocation of sound board and construction of sound booth with lockable roll-top
3. Reduce clutter of monitors and microphone stands in Breakout area
4. Improved hearing-impaired system
5. System of miking group performance/drama
6. Need digital input/output; better video interface

Floor finish
1.Remove carpeting under pews and refinish existing hardwood floor                                                                             2.Remove and replace carpet in aisles, chancel, narthex, and balcony

Handicapped accessibility
1. Enlarge single-door entries at both sides of chancel to two-doors
2. Replace all radiators with thinner model on side aisles
3. Build alcoves for radiators in back aisle/replace with thinner model

Wall/Ceiling Finish
1. Paint all plaster wall/ceiling surfaces
2. Refinish all water damage on wood trim
3. Clean and polish all memorial plaques

Cryroom
1. Add glass windows to back wall/replace back doors with glass doors
2. Add speaker to narthex

Front Doors at Kinney entrance
1. Refinish both doors
2. Add new top/bottom locking crashbars
