Capital Campaign Kick Off Event filled with fellowship, fun, food!

Trinity’s June 12th celebration announces kick-start commitments from Advance Giving of $426,485!

If you missed the Kick Off Event, you missed a good time – and we missed you!

With great “building” decorations, videos, lots of songs and music (of course!), inspirational talks by Tom Bauer, Gail Fredensborg and Jen Dobson, children’s activities, food and fellowship – and even door prizes – it was an exciting event spent celebrating our past, building on faith and answering the call.

A highlight of the day was the keynote address by Rev. Walter Huffman, recently retired Dean of the Chapel and Professor of Worship at Trinity Seminary. Rev. Huffman was one of Pastor Tim’s professors at Trinity, and also taught our Pastoral Intern Seth and his wife Shelley.

The Kick Off Event officially launched the Congregational Giving and Outreach Giving parts of our Capital Campaign. With a great financial foundation in place by Advance Giving contributors, now is the time when the Trinity Family and Trinity Friends prayerfully consider how they can financially support the Capital Campaign and how they can answer the call to carry on Trinity’s ministries and missions by completing a Commitment Card that indicates their Capital Campaign giving over the next three years.

Congregational Giving

Some folks completed their commitment cards at the Kick Off Event, others signed up to attend  small group “Commitment Coffees” here at Trinity in June and July. Our Congregational Giving team is now in the process of contacting the rest of our members to set up personal, private in-home or at-church – or even at-Perkins (!) meetings so that all of us have the opportunity to participate in our Building Campaign. Commitment Cards will be available at those meetings.

If you are interested in attending one of the small group “Commitment Coffees,” or if you would like to set up an in-person meeting at your home or elsewhere, please contact Audrey Senour, Bill Schnier or Jan Donley who head up the Congregational Giving team.  If they do not hear from you, they will be in touch with you.

Outreach Giving

Our Outreach team will get in touch with former members, folks who used to worship with us regularly and folks who have moved away and others who stay in touch with Trinity. The Outreach team will use these calls to re-connect with Trinity Friends, as well as tell them about our Capital Campaign and ask for a commitment to support Trinity.

Trinity’s vision of creating new and remodeled spaces for full access, Christian fellowship, transitional housing, Christian Education and a safe and secure work and meeting environment is exciting – we believe God is calling us to these transformations. Please continue to pray about your commitment to the vision.
