Kate's Cupboard was established in memory of Katy Rocklin, a young member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Mt. Healthy, who was killed in 2003, along with her unborn child, in a tragic automobile crash.  Katy had so eagerly anticipated the birth of her child. Now Kate's Cupboard is a resource for other young mothers as a free-store of equipment -- and encouragement -- that may help increase the level of child care mothers can provide and decrease their level of fear and anxiety, knowing they can provide the safe, clean, basic necessities.

We have completed our move to new space at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Healthy.  We are ready to serve clients again.

We've been serving new Moms and their babies since June, 2004.

Kate's Cupboard operates solely on donations! You can donate online by going to Trinity's online donation page - Click here.

Check to Donor Information page to see how you can help.

handsKate's Cupboard is continuing to grow from the original dream to a fully realized operation.  In recent months new zip codes have been added to our service area and additional partnering organizations are referring clients.

Currently we serve sixteen neighborhoods and work with twelve agencies. To date 157 moms have been servedthat's almost 9,761 diapers!! That also means 84 carseats, 95 cribs and mattresses and a myriad of other clothing, layette supplies and equipment ranging from bouncing seats to strollers have found their way to young women and babies who need them.

How can you help? Right now we are running low on cribs. If you have a crib in good shape which meets safety codes call the Cupboard and leave a message at 931-1541. Or, if you see an ad for cribs at a good price, let us know; we have super shoppers ready to pounce on bargains. As always, any donations are useful and appreciated.
