Note from Nancy:

Our congregation, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mt. Healthy, is about to “open new doors” of ministry as we begin our Capital Campaign.  It is exciting and frightening at the same time. The most important thing we can do before we officially “Kick-Off” on June 12th is to PRAY!

Shawn Nichols and I are co-chairs of the Spiritual Emphasis Committee of the Capital Campaign and, along with all leadership of the campaign, feel the vital importance of praying our way into and through this new opportunity for ministry. We are encouraging all participants, members and friends of Trinity to pray the following prayer throughout the months and years ahead:

“Most gracious, loving and generous God, We humbly acknowledge You as sovereign Lord over all we are, all we have, and all we ever hope to be. We bless and thank you for the rich heritage of our past, for the joyful ministry of the present, and the ministry to which you call and equip us in the future. We confess our sins to you, receiving your grace and forgiveness. We offer our weakness to you, receiving your sufficiency and strength. We admit our doubts and fears to you, receiving your promises of faith and courage. Open our eyes, hearts, and minds to see with hope and confidence that you go before us to prepare the way for us. Help us to follow you confidently into the future, knowing that all we have been given, our very lives, homes, families, gifts, countless blessings and ministries, come from you, Almighty God, source of all that exists. We willingly place ourselves, our plans, our ministries and this campaign into your hands, O God, in the Name of Jesus, who is the same, yesterday, today and forever.  AMEN
